Hey Everyone! My name is Jared. This website is still very much in progress but I hope you find it valuable. For my full-time gig I work as a product manager at a healthcare tech company. Because of my work I am constantly thinking and learning about new technologies, including AI. Over the last few years I've felt more a desire to disconnect from technology, and to connect with the world and people around me.

I love creating things, and I love learning skills that may be less practical, but that help ground me, such as gardening and provident living. The idea for this website came as I was thinking about farmers markets and how much I love the community feel and the opportunity to support local makers and artisans. But living in Utah, farmers markets only take place during a small portion of the year. Most of the businesses that sell at farmers markets don't have great website, don't understand SEO, and are mostly found on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram. Because of that I think a lot of these businesses naturally have fewer sales when not working at farmers markets, and I thought I could help with that.

As someone who likes to support local businesses, it is not easy to find these makers, or to find good local products. My goal with this website is to make it a maker first website, that focuses on the makers behind the business, and to give local shoppers an easy way to find whatever local products they are interested in. Ultimately I want to support the human experience and do my part to help build the local community. Feel free to reach out with any suggestions or anything you think would help this to be a more valuable resource!
